17000 Crore for Patna Metro Rail Project Bihar

Central Government of India has cleared the fund for Rs 17,000 Crore (Seventeen thousand Crore) for the Metro Rail. Rail Project will involve investment of that much amount. Urban state Development Minister Sri suresh kr Sharma told that work will done Corridor wise for Phase I first . i.e Work on the project is set to start this year on the 6 km long north-south corridor then East-West Metro Corridor Danapur-Mithapur/Bypass Chowk Via Patna Railway Station i.e a total length of 14.50 KM.

Central agency RITES (Rail India Technical and Economic Services ) is preparing DPR and making analysis. The work is probably to start this budgetary year. The part of this first phase will be underground and elevated stretch. As underground cost very much and from Patna Heritage prospect it is not good.
